1. Introduction
LunaVideo Media Player (referred to as "we", "us", or "our") values user privacy. This policy outlines how local files, metadata, and connected services are managed inside the application.
2. Zero Developer Telemetry
We operate under a strict Zero-Telemetry Policy. The application does not collect, log, transmit, or share your usage statistics, playback actions, library catalogs, search queries, or personal media files with developer servers.
3. Diagnostics & Crash Reporting (User Opt-in)
LunaVideo features optional diagnostics for stability tracking:
- Local Crash Logs: If a crash occurs, a report is logged locally on your machine at
LunaVideo_CrashLog.txt. - Optional Remote Reports: If you explicitly opt-in via Settings, crash summaries (without private media file details or identifiers) are sent to our secure Azure Application Insights endpoint to help resolve bugs.
4. Third-Party Connections
LunaVideo integrates external features to enrich media content. These connections communicate directly with the respective third-party API providers:
- Plex Integration: Connects to your Plex servers directly. Authentication credentials are stored locally using Windows Credential Manager. All metadata, streams, and tracking calls occur between your player and Plex servers, bypassing us entirely.
- Lyrics & Metadata (LRCLIB, Discogs, Apple): Fetches album information and synchronized lyrics directly from public registries. No client data is logged.
- IPTV & Web Radio (iptv-org, Radio-Browser): Streams live audio/video feeds directly from the third-party server hosting the feed. These servers may log standard connection headers like your IP address.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically as features evolve. Changes will be reflected with a revised version and update timestamp on this page.
