Hi, I'm the developer behind LunaVideo, known as **Lunamonkey**. As a software engineer and media enthusiast, I spent years jumping between various players. Some had great playback compatibility but felt clunky and outdated. Others were modern but lacked critical features like gapless audio, multi-channel surround sound upmixing, or integrated Plex browsing.
I decided to build LunaVideo to bridge that gap. I wanted a player that treated the Windows platform with respect. No telemetry collecting your viewing habits, no hidden advertising SDKs, and no background processes running when the app is closed. Just a pure, high-performance media center built with care.
